So I got this GREAT idea to make my own laundry detergent. Both my son and I have sensitive skin and I started to get tired of always buying the ‘big name’ brands. There is only 2 laundry detergents that I can actually use so that got me thinking… what if I made my own? I was at a birthday party over the weekend and started talking about it and my friend offered up a recipe. I googled it and found the one she was talking about. So here is to natural, lovely smelling laundry!
8 ounce Borax
8 ounce Washing Soda
1 ounce Dr. Bronner’s castile soap. Grated bar soap or liquid
Shake together in an air tight jar and use 2 tablespoons per load. This is a lot cheaper than the store bought stuff. Using this recipe brings it to about $0.10 per load! Dr. Bronner’s Castile soap comes in a few scents such as Lavender, Peppermint, Citrus, Eucalyptus, and Almond. So your laundry comes out smelling yummy and clean!
If you have used this share with me your experience with the laundry soap below!
