Being a failure is a good thing! You must be thinking… Ok Steph you need another cup of coffee. Alright I will grab a cup and explain what I mean.
It is not our successes but our failures that define us.
In my opinion it is 100% true! Being an entrepreneur comes with many ups and downs. One minute you are bringing in customers/clients and the next it seems like a dry spell has hit your business. How you react in those dry times when your business is stagnant is important.
Your character and reputation is defined when things don’t go as planned.
This is an incredible video from Michael Jordan..
Michael Jordan could have EASILY given up on his dream but he stayed the course. He could have been so offended that they didn’t choose him that he would have lost his drive and passion for basketball. His failures continued to define him to be better and push forward. Those characteristics were crucial as he continued onto a successful career in the NBA.
I sent out an email to my subscribers (if you aren’t a part of that elite group go here) that your words are very important that you speak about your business. When something doesn’t go the way you would like it to and ends up becoming a flop, do you complain about it? Your words, opinions, and negative attitude during a trying time may be killing your success. We as human beings prove our theories right constantly! Have you ever used the phrase “I told you so?!”
Your failures today are molding and shaping you for the successes that are coming for you and your business. If you don’t fail, you won’t have a story to tell!
