Wikipedia’s definition of motivation is a psychological feature that arouses an organism to
act towards a desired goal and elicits, controls, and sustains certain goal directed behaviors. It can be considered a driving force; a psychological one that compels or reinforces an action toward a desired goal.
What motivates me are my two beautiful kids. Everything that I do, I do for them. I always seem to have
them in mind throughout my day. Heck they are what wakes me up every morning.. literally! Ha! They give me motivation to be better in every area of my life. They look up to me for EVERYTHING so it motivates me to be the best I can be. Motivation is different for every person and as we enter into different roles our motivation can change. In the video below I talk about how I was able to have a motivation mindset shift.

Motivation comes from within
No one can motivate you but yourself. Until you have that mindset shift the motivation is not there. Having motivation means that you will achieve the goal set before you. You will repeat the actions that it takes for you to achieve that certain goal. For example, if you are motivated to loose weight. Everyday you will get up, eat healthy, work out etc. You will do what it takes every single day to achieve your weight loss goal. If you really aren’t 100% motivated to loose weight, you will not repeat the behaviors to do so.
Motivation is important to achieve our goals and to be a better person. Personal development is a big role in motivation and how it can help in every area of your life. Slow down and find that inspiration and motivation throughout your day. There are even apps you can download on your phone to give you a motivational quote every day. Find that time to pamper yourself and it will help you center and focus on really what matters and what motivates you.
