If you have a brand and need to relay your message using Social Media, keep reading! I have worked with so many business owners that are sometimes unclear about the right strategy that they need to have when it comes to their marketing. Instead of feeling overwhelmed, I have put together 3 simple must have strategies that YOU, yes you, can implement today in your marketing. Once you have mastered these 3 strategies, then you can move into the more difficult.
3 Social Media Brand Strategies
- Consistency
This is the MOST important strategy that anyone can have and why someone like me is hired to not only represent a brand online, but for the consistent online presence. Social media never sleeps, but if you can maintain a daily presence it can be really beneficial for your brand. I like to tell my clients, choose 1 platform and get really good at it. Then add on the next platform. This way, you are not overwhelmed with the consistency. It is ok to use the same post from Facebook to Instagram to Google+ as long as it represents your brand and is consistent.
2. Get Personal
This strategy is another really great way to interact with your audience. You have to be ok with putting yourself out there a bit. Going ‘behind the scenes’, lifestyle posts, selfies with clients (with permission of course) are some personal touches you can add to your Social Media posts. With marketing, it is all about the image and what you want to relay to your audience. As I like to say, “Have intention with personality”. Your clients and audience want to interact with YOU! They do not want to be preached at or sold to. Have a purpose with your posts but offer incredible value. For example, a personal post can be a picture of your cup of coffee at a mom and pop coffee shop. You can not only shout out the coffee shop online with your post, but also ask your audience what are they drinking, doing right now or working on. This is a great way to engage your audience with what you are doing, promote the local coffee shop but also caring about your audience and what they are doing.
3. Offer Value
Whether you have a beauty spa or a construction company, finding a way to offer incredible value will help you stand out from other companies who are just using the online platform to push their products and services. To piggyback off of point #2, being consistent with value will draw in followers and help turn them into paying customers/clients. You have to find that boundary though of what value you will give for free and what value you will charge for. Value can come in the forms of inspiration or motivational quotes, blogging, sharing content from an expert that is relevant to your audience, and lifestyle tools and tips. For example for a spa or beauty salon, you can offer tips on how to keep your winter skin moisturized or what foods to eat for clear skin. Those types of topics are relevant and can even be tailored by season.
So there you have it folks! I hope you can gain some really great, simple Social Media strategies to implement in your business.. like TODAY!
