There is so much to talk about on this subject. Mindset is such a huge part of our actions, beliefs and thoughts. Have you ever heard the phrase “You are a product today of what you thought yesterday?” Having the right mindset can push you forward to your destiny. Having the wrong mindset can keep you stuck in a rut. It is up to you to change your mindset to keep moving forward.
How to obtain the RIGHT mindset
Lets talk about some mindset shifts and how to overcome the dreaded “I can’t” voice in your head. We all have experienced that voice saying “What if I fail?” or the ever popular “What are people going to think of me?” Let me tell you, crushing those thoughts will be the first step in the process. Those thoughts are not true and ready to get you off the course. Shift your mindset to positive thinking & confidence building thoughts and exercises every single day. You WILL overcome the negative thoughts, but it takes a shift in your mind first.
You ALWAYS have a choice
No one… let me repeat… No one can obligate you to do anything. You have the choice on what you do AND how you feel. If someone treated you poorly, you have the choice in how that will affect you. Have you ever said the phrase “It’s too late to back out now” or “They did that to me, let me show them!” Recognize that your emotions are getting the best of you and will most likely result in a behavior or action that is not appropriate nor worth your time! Long story short, you ALWAYS have a choice. Whether it is where you work, who you are friends with, or how you handle your emotions you choose!
Put the growth mindset into action
Here are a few examples of negative scripts that we tell ourselves, followed up with a growth mindset response…
Negative mindset: “Are you sure you can do it? Maybe you don’t have the talent.”
Growth mindset: “I’m not sure I can do it now, but I think I can learn to with time and effort.”
Negative mindset: “What if you fail—you’ll be a failure”
Growth mindset: “Most successful people had failures along the way.”
Negative mindset: “It’s not my fault. It was something or someone else’s fault.”
Growth mindset: “If I don’t take responsibility, I can’t fix it. Let me listen, make adjustments and learn whatever I can.”
Whew baby!! I don’t know who needed this one today, but this subject has been on my heart for the last few days. What is something that you struggle with when it comes to mindset?

I agree with you completely in that we can choose to be happy, we can choose how we react. I’ve been a lot happier lately since I’ve really put this into practice.
