Have you ever felt an overwhelming pressure in your business? Maybe you have put this pressure on yourself, OR you feel it from someone else. I know from experience what that feels like and I hope and pray that this post gives you more insight and helps you release freedom over your life and your business.
A little back story about me is that I started my entrepreneur career in the network marketing industry. I learned a TON from some amazing coaches. At that time though, I felt an enormous amount of pressure. Pressure to get on calls, to sell my products and to hit the next level in my business. It wasn’t until my last MLM company that I took all of the pressure to perform out of the equation that I quickly started making money in my business very part time. How? I stopped trying to please people. I started setting boundaries. I stopped working out of desperation and started focusing on helping people.
I kept these same principles in my Social Media Consulting business and I have never been happier. So how did I do it?
Here are some key elements to start applying NOW!
- Quit the desperation. I’m sure you have heard, “Focus on helping others get what they want, and you will get what you want.” Am I right? Sometimes when we start making goals for ourselves, we forget the process that needs to happen along the way. We start looking at everyone and everything with dollar signs. Goal setting is essential, but becoming desperate to hit them is when your judgement starts to become clouded. If you feel like everyone is running away from you and your business, take a second look at your message. Would you want to be approached that way?
- Make and keep healthy relationships. It wasn’t until a few years ago that I started assessing my “crew”. Could I really go where I needed to go in my life and my business with my current posse? Some people in your life that you think are cheerleaders, will be the exact same people that will pull your wings down when you try to fly.
- Don’t focus on an outcome. Be 100% client centered without any ulterior motive. If you keep doing the right things everyday to move your business forward, you won’t need to be so focused on the outcome. It will come!
Without really writing a novel, I will end it here. This is enough meat for you to munch on until the next one.
P.S. Maybe I should do a FB live video about this very topic? Head to my Facebook Fan Page here to stay tuned. Cheers babes! 🙂
