Like many entrepreneurs out there, I have had to restart my marketing agency after Covid. However, this is not the first time that I have had to restart. This is now the second time that I have lost all of my clients and now starting again from scratch. I’m writing this post to show HOW I have lost all my clients not once but twice and still have been able to keep thriving and building my business legacy through drought.
The First Restart
During my divorce I lost my marketing agency. I had a plethora of clients and had to close my business doors. I did so for years and had to get a regular JOB. Now, if you are anything like me.. a full blown entrepreneur this was extremely tough! After a few years I left that job and re-opened my marketing agency back up. What an amazing feeling to be able to start to build MY dream again! It wasn’t just about me. I was also able to be there in a better capacity for my children. As a single Mom that is a must.
The Second Restart
Covid-19. Need I say more? I found myself once again losing my clientele and it was completely out of my control. Luckily every client has come back once the country opened back up again. This time it was different. This time I had to learn to rebuild in a different way. Now, I am finding myself in a position where my business is exponentially growing. What is so different? And how can this be possible when I have had to restart twice!
You Build What You’re Passionate About
That basically sums it up. You build what you’re passionate about and what you are meant to do. I have had many businesses over my entrepreneur career and NONE of them have been what I am truly meant to do. How do you know when you’re in the right field? When the No’s aren’t scary anymore. When someone says no to your products and services, it doesn’t derail you or halt your progress. You adapt, find a way and keep moving forward no matter what the circumstances are.
How to restart your business
- Make a plan and stick to it.
- Stay consistent with promotional content,
- Reach out to new customers and clients.
- Take some time to get creative! What can you create that is in line with your branding and you will be excited to offer.
- Reach out to old potential customers and clients to find out if they are ready to work with you.
- Keep following up!
- Keep doing your thang with fun and flare. At the end of the day if you aren’t having fun with your work, it shows.
XOXO
