Happy New Year everyone! This is the time of year where everyone makes goals for what they want to accomplish. Losing weight, self-care, money goals etc. This year, I’m keeping it simple. 2020 was a very hard year for many, but some incredible things also happened! I want to share (and I’ll be doing a Facebook live on this) what my 3 simple goals for 2021 are. I want to invite you to do the same!
Be Authentic
What does authenticity mean to you? There are ways you can be more authentic in the new year. Express your whole self, not just show parts of you that you feel will be most liked. To do this, you must know your true self! I know what it’s like to mold yourself into what another person wants you to be, act and show. It’s exhausting! Take a look at your circle. Are you being truly authentic? Do they know the REAL you? If not, get a new circle. Be done being fake. Another aspect of authenticity is judgement. Take a good hard look at yourself, your words and your actions before judging someone else. Are you in line and practice what you preach? The fear of judgement also breaks authenticity. Break these non-authentic habits in 2021.
Be Present
Put down your phones! Be present in moments. As a marketer, I struggle with this sometimes. I have made a goal to be completely present no matter what I’m doing. Whether it’s with my family, work, friends… be PRESENT! Enjoy company and give yourself those necessary breaks to unplug. Not every single things needs to be posted on social media. Some experiences should be enjoyed without letting everyone know what you’re doing. LOL.
Be Intentional
When you are intentional, you choose to make decisions and take action on what is important to you. For your New Years resolutions, be intentional! If you want to shed weight, do it. If you want to grow your business, do it. If you want to create healthier relationships, do it! Make an intentional effort for all of those things. Don’t phase out of your goals by February 1st. Be intentional all year with what you want and take action on achieving it. Set goals, aligned your daily actions, think on purpose and reflect.
How can you fit your 2021 goals with being present, being authentic and being intentional? This year can be your biggest year yet, if you let it.
