I LOVE learning about the personality types. It is one of my favorite subjects. Learning about myself and how others communicate has really helped me in business and in personal relationships. Knowing this will also help you communicate with your children better as well. I have seen huge improvements in my personal relationships because I have been able to respect the fact that not everyone communicates like I do!
We all have each personality type so tapping into the different ones depending on who you are speaking with is essential.
First one is whats called a GREEN: 
Greens are motivated by facts and figures. They are the most organized out of all the personality types. They tend to have had the same schedule for years and are ON TIME! They are excellent problem solvers and are numbers people. The challenge for this group is they tend to be misunderstood for being cold. Their biggest challenge is opening up to people. They are slow decision makers, but once a decision is made it is the most logical decision.
Next personality type is a YELLOW:
Yellows are motivated by a cause. They are selfless, love to help and tend to want world peace! They get instant gratification by helping someone. Yellows love a movement that is helping humanity. They are the best listeners and really value their relationships. They are not outspoken and bold. Yellows tend to get taken advantage of sometimes because these are the people that tend to give their product away for free. They do not like pressure and are intimidated by opposites. Ladies if you are looking for a man to sweep you off your feet, find a yellow male! 🙂
Next is the RED personality type:
Reds are motivated by a challenge. They have to be FIRST! They tend to tell is like it is and are very intense. They keep a pace that most can’t keep. They wake up running and they get a lot started. This personality type tends to go go go all the time, so they easily get burnt out. They like to stay at the finest hotels, restaurants.. only the best. They tend to walk into a room and size everyone up. This type only plays games to win them. If they think they won’t win, they won’t play. This type tends to not want to ask for help as to them it looks like a weakness. They tend to take on too many projects and not finish them. They are natural born leaders and want to conquer the world!
Lastly, is the BLUE personality type:
Blues are motivated by FUN!! It is all about people having a good time. They are spontaneous and LOVE to travel. They are the best promoters. They are usually the one dancing when the music is on. This personality type is the easiest to detect with outward appearance as they tend to wear bold, bright colors and patterns. Blues tend to talk a lot and speak what they are thinking. They process things with their mouth and have to talk it out. On the flip side, Blues tend to get easily distracted and are unorganized but are the life of the party.
Now that you have more information on the personality types, can you identity which one you are? Now understand that you will NEVER motivate another personality type with your motivation. Meeting people where they are at and respecting their personality type is essential for optimum communication.
