5 Social Media Search and Trending Websites

To piggyback off of the article that I wrote for Mompreneur Media, Where To Find What is Trending On Social Media I wanted to write another post about where you can find what is trending through some top Social Media search websites. By hitting these websites on a consistent basis, you can easily search for what is happening in the world of Social Media.

 

1. Buzzfeed 

Find out what is going viral with Buzzfeed. From status updates to pictures and video. There are a few breakdown categories at the top of the page.

Currently, you can click on OMG, WTF, LOL, Fail and Win to find trending topics.

 

2. Google Trends

Google trends is a real time trending search for what is happening on Google. You can visit here daily to get the top 10 topics and top 10 hot searches. I highly recommend this service. Start searching and find relevant trends and information.

 

3. Social Mention

This is a real-time Social Media search and analysis. SocialMention allows you to search for terms across a vast area of media types. From blogs, mentions, bookmarking sites, comments on blogs, events, images, news, video, Q&A websites, audio and other networks.

 

4. Hshtags 

Search #hshtags not only on Twitter, but on Facebook, Instagram, Flickr, YouTube, and Vimeo. And yes it is hashtag without the ‘a’. LOL!

 

5. Twittorati

Twittorati is a Technorati site where the blogosphere and twittersphere meet. This means that Twittorati follows or aggregates tweets from the biggest authority bloggers. You can break down results by channels, top 100 blogs, top links, top blogs, latest photos, and technorati and twitter tags. This is a great market research tool!
