How many of you have been the victim of spam? How many of you can admit that you are the spammer? Well if you are…STOP IT! There are some do’s and don’ts in how you promote your business. People do not like to be spammed. Whether it is spamming through email accounts or on Social Media it is not a good way to promote and pitch your business. Sending very impersonal links will prompt most to give you the boot rather than join you in business.

 

Here are 5 steps to grow your business with the right pitch.

1. Practice Your Delivery

If you feel awkward talking about your business, chances are you look awkward! Do not use the word ‘interested’. Have confidence in what you are promoting and others will take notice.

2. Build A Relationship!! (super duper important)

Oh boy this a good one! People join in business with people that they know and like. Be that person that builds a relationship with others and creates a network of people who WANT to join you and not run the other direction.

3. Show Off Your Passion

Have passion for your business! It will come across when you speak to others whether or not you genuinely like what you do. Your prospect will feel your passion and excitement and will help convert them to want to do business with you.

4. Have A Goal In Mind

Is the person that you are talking to a good customer, business partner or referral source? Ask some key questions to find out what category they fit in.

5. Keep It Short And Sweet

No one likes to be pitched about a business for 5 minutes. Keep your pitch to a maximum of 30 seconds to highlight the bullet points. Be sure to include why someone would want to partner with you and how it will benefit them.
