I write this as I close out on a CRAZY day with a glass of Sauvignon Blanc in my hand. (YESS) Today, I had my daughters ballet rehearsal for her recital, spankings inside the Target aisles, screaming in the backyard over toys, bloody kid lips, and don’t forget about the toys all over the house. I mean, do adults live here?
All of my friends have convinced me to start a Youtube, Blog or Vine about just being a Mom. The good, the bad and the CRAZY! Some days my kids are the best E.V.E.R. Some days its tough. I have a Social Media business that I work mostly outside of my home. This allows me to work when I want for my amazing clients as well as care for my children. This balance for me is awesome. I do however, have those days where I want to throw in the towel. If you are a Mom you KNOW WHAT IM TALKIN ABOUT!
Those days where you say.. why did I do this again? Where you envy those who don’t have children walking through the grocery story deciding carelessly what they want to eat for dinner. Must be nice right?! Today was the day that my son decided to hit my daughter in the face, while in Target, so both of them were screaming.. there was blood… and all I could say was “Lord Jesus”.
Then as we all wind down for the day, I notice my two kiddos sitting on the couch.. quietly watching a movie. I notice my daughters little tiny toes and I fall in love all over again. I notice how my son looks over the couch at me into the kitchen and just smiles as he says “Love you Mommy”. My heart melts.
So I write this for all of you Moms who have wanted to throw in the towel. Maybe you wanted to throw in the towel today. Maybe you wanted to throw in the towel 3 times today! But I urge you to take a look at those amazing kids you created. How each limb was created perfect, JUST FOR YOU! How amazing it is to be called a Mom.
Through the chaos, through the stares at the store, your work is not in vain. Keep going.. keep truckin, you will turn around one day and say I did a good job. 🙂
